Dr. Brooks Young
Dr. Brooks Young opened Jayhawk Foot & Ankle Clinic in 2008, joining forces with many of the best primary care doctors in the Kansas City area by practicing in their existing clinics. Since Dr. Young’s establishment as one of the most highly skilled foot and ankle surgeons in the area, his patient-base has continued to grow. He is active in the podiatry community and frequently gives lectures at meetings with his colleagues.

Dr. Brian Schmidt joined Jayhawk Foot & Ankle Clinic in 2015, bringing his strong competence in the clinical and surgical management of conditions of the foot and ankle, including biomechanics, sports medicine, trauma, limb salvage, and correction of complex deformities. He uses his experience and expertise to provide the best possible care for patients with disorders or deformity of the foot and ankle; whether surgical or conservative.
